Tempus Fugit
Tempus Fugit is a short lead-in work for family and educational concerts. It quickly introduces the instruments of the orchestra by describing the mode of transportation they used to travel to the concert. This efficient, short work covers a lot of territory in a clever way and can be narrated by the conductor or a narrator.
Two endings are provided. The “button ending” can be used if a more solid ending is desired. The “segue ending” leads quietly to the following work on the program.

Timing: 3½ minutes
Commissioned and premiered by Music Director Chris Confessore and the Brevard Symphony Orchestra in 2015.
